Phenotype
Phenotype
We collected phenotypic data for 330 sweetpotato (Ipomoea batatas) germplasm accessions covering up to 145 quantitative and qualitative traits. Data were compiled from national germplasm evaluation programs and published literature. Two main functions are provided in the Phenotype module: Phenotype Information and Phenotype Trait.
Phenotype Information
Passport and descriptive records for each germplasm accession, including cultivar name, national accession number, germplasm type, province and country of origin, and key morphological characteristics. Accession records are linked to field phenotype photographs where available. Users can search by cultivar name or national accession number.
Phenotype Trait
A searchable database of 145 phenotypic measurements across 330 accessions. Traits include:
- Appearance: flesh color, skin color, tuber shape
- Agronomic: vine length, branching habit, leaf shape and color
- Quality: starch content, soluble sugar, dry matter, carotenoid content
- Resistance: disease resistance evaluations
- Geographic: province of origin, country of origin, germplasm type
Statistical charts summarize flesh color distribution, province of origin, germplasm type, and country composition across all accessions.
